We also recognise that people are integral to the construction process and actively build strong relationships with our clients and project teams to create a supportive and collaborative working environment. Together, our team brings almost 40 years of construction and quantity surveying experience across a wide range of projects and sectors.

Herman Mynhardt

I am passionate about construction and the way it shapes the world we live in. My approach to quantity surveying is to understand the vision and needs of our clients to ensure that we determine and manage a budget that achieves their design ambitions while maintaining strict budget control. I also enjoy a high-level project management role where I lean on my technical skills and design background to strip a problem of irrelevant clutter to help focus the team on the core of what needs to happen to get the job done. When I am not working towards my goals I try to experience the slow life somewhere unspoilt, wild and beautiful.

Wilhelm Van Zyl

I am a professional quantity surveyor with extensive experience across the various sectors of the building industry. Ive successfully completed numerous commercial, residential, and other unique projects. Staying up to date with the latest global construction technologies and trends excites me and I am passionate about improving efficiency of cost management systems and contributing to the industry. I thrive on working on unique and remarkable projects which offer exciting and different challenges. I see myself as an adventurer who loves outdoor activities such as hiking, trail running and simply being in nature. I love my family and have a passion for photography.

Daniel Masuba

I joined Sigma Quantity Surveyors driven by a passion of making a positive impact on the built environment across Africa. My responsibilities at SigmaQS range from viability studies to construction cost management with a growing interest in project management. Combining a strong background in quantity surveying and urban design, my goal is to create inclusive, affordable spaces through a balance of design thinking and financial management. Beyond my professional work, I am deeply involved in the coffee industry in Uganda, focusing on Arabica coffee from Eastern Uganda, my home. I am dedicated to promoting sustainability and uplifting the livelihoods of local farmers by providing them with access to global markets.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors - particularly in the mountains - and I prioritise time with family and friends to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Sherry Collop

At Sigma Quantity Surveyors I serve as the office administrator and bookkeeper and generally ensure all our operations and projects run smoothly. I offer a supporting role with cost estimating and manage all general enquiries. I am a dedicated professional and a loving mother. I find joy in spending time with my son, whom I adore. In my spare time, I enjoy baking, cooking, and immersing myself in a good book.
